ESC Fire Safety Fund

As part of the ESC fire prevention campaign we recently made £120,000 of funding available to support effective consumer safety activity by partners working at local level.
We invited Fire and Rescue Services, Trading Standards and other community safety bodies to apply and received over 120 applications. The judges then considered these on the basis of their potential to help prevent electrical fires. The 29 successful applicants which are located throughout the UK were informed in mid-September. Currently we are giving support to these partners, offering them guidance and providing them with giveaways for the general public.
