Charity announces International Electrical Product Safety Conference

The Electrical Safety Council will host an International Electrical Product Safety Conference in London from 8-9 September 2008.
The conference will be an opportunity for anyone with an interest in the safety of electrical products to come together and discuss the current issues affecting the industry.
Over the two day conference, economic, legislative and global aspects of consumer product safety will be addressed through a mix of key note speeches and interactive workshops. Areas that will be covered include:
- The safety of imported goods
- The revision of the New Approach and the Low Voltage Directive
- Ongoing initiatives in market surveillance
- Counterfeiting

The conference will be held at Church House, Westminster, a building steeped in tradition located just behind Westminster Abbey.
